Here at Pod Save Africa, we love to highlight the incredible people who take on seemingly small yet incredibly difficult challenges facing the continent and not only solve them but turn them into trending conversations.

One of such people is Karo Omu. Karo spotted the problem of inaccessible or costly sanitary aid from a Twitter conversation and rose to the occasion through the works of Sanitary Aid Nigeria. Since then, Sanitary Aid’s mission, through the working of an incredible all female team, has been to provide free sanitary products to girls and women from lower income backgrounds and from internally displaced communities.
